These Photos were taken on Gallen C.S Academic Awards Night on 28th October 2011. We were delighted that Marcella Corcoran Kennedy Eamon Dooley, Sr Brigid Moore and Mary McLoughlin were able to join with students , parents and teachers to celebrate the academic achievements of so many of our students. Books Awards were made to students from first, second and fifth years for the best results in their Summer tests. The Junior Certificate Medallion Award went to Diarmid Connon for the best Junior Certificate and Junior Merit Awards were given to five other students who were close to Diarmids achievement. Many of our Leaving Certificate class of 2011 were welcomed back to get awards for their high scores in individual subjects. The Cluny Scholarship was awarded to Elaine Guinan who got an excellent 540 points in her Leaving Certificate. The Gallen C.S Academic Excellence Award went to Emma Corcoran who achieved an outstanding 570 points in her Leaving Certificate.Since last October Emma has been awarded an All Ireland Scholarship , one of only two students in Co. Offaly.
