FERBANE SCOR BALLAD GROUP TEAM RETAIN LEINSTER SCOR TITLE
Well done to the Scor Group for a magnificence performance in the Leinster Scor finals last weekend in Dublin. They retain their title and now go forward to the All-Ireland final in the Ebrington Hall Derry at the end of February where they will perform “The Broad majestic Shannon” and “Edward on Lough Erin’s Shore”.

presentations to our Leaving Certificate students last week and it continued to be a busy week for Mrs Finnegan and the sixth years who were completing CAO online applications all week.
PHYSICS- CHEMISTRY SUBJECT DEMONSTRATIONS– Thanks to Ms Dempsey and Ms Hopkins who accompanied Leaving Cert Physics and Chemistry students to practical demonstrations of their respective subjects in NUI Maynooth on Tuesday and Friday of last week. These demonstrations will prove invaluable to our students for their Leaving Certificate exams.
SENIOR RUGBY – Congrats to our Senior Team who beat St Gerald’s Castlebar 14-7 in their first pool game in the Connacht Senior Development Cup. Daragh Keenaghan’s try decided matters. Gallen next travel to play Clifden CS where a win would guarantee top spot in the pool and a place in the knockout stages. JUNIOR RUGBY– our Junior Team play Rice College Westport , Gort CS and Athenry in their upcoming pool games in the Connacht Junior Development Cup. Best of luck to them.
BASKETBALL – the success of our u 16 team in reaching the All-Ireland semi-final filtered down to our first and second years that had big wins , 38-8 and 26-6 respectively, over Mullingar CC last Friday in our sports hall .

Saturday March 23- Gallen C.S . Junior Team will play the winners of the Munster final , Clonakilty CC or Coachford CC in the All Ireland semi-final .
Saturday Feb 23 Gallen CS Senior Team begin the defence of their Leinster Title when they play Ashbourne CS in Ferbane on.
