Gallen C.S, Ferbane 8-19 Colaiste Na Mi (Navan) 2-2
Congratulations to Gallen CS on reaching the North Leinster football final. Gallen played stylish football and showed great determination throughout the game. Conor Dunican started the game very well but unfortunately had to go off with a hamstring injury. We wish him well with his recovery and hopefully he can return to full fitness soon.
Ronan Flynn had an excellent game and scored 3-5 from play. The score of the game was perhaps just before half time when Sean Flannery took a quick free kick and cheekily finished the ball to the bottom of the goal net.
Eoin Tighe, Conor Beirne, Ciaran Lally, Fergal Bracken, Jamie Probin, Mathew Darcy, Sean Flannery and Ronan Flynn all contributed with some very well taken goals and points. The unsung heroes were our defenders. Our defence were tight and linked up very well to stop the opposing team from scoring. Gallen C.S now progress to the final.

Gallen C.S. u14 ladies beat Athlone Community College last Friday on a score line of 7-11 to 6-10. The girls got off to an excellent start getting ahead of the opposition in the first kick of the ball. An early goal from Claudia Egan settled the Ferbane side. However A.C.C did not let the girls have it easy and came back to draw the match on numerous occasions. The girls continued to notch up the scores with Sarah Fitzgerald getting a hattrick. Emma Moore came under pressure when A.C.C won a penalty but the girls persevered and came out on top. With superb effort from the defenders and accuracy from the forwards the girls sealed their second game in a row. They have now won 2 out of 3 games. Thanks to Ms Raymond for her interest and work with this group of girls.
