Well done to our students: Gabby Hannon who won 2 bronze, Jay Coogan who won 3 gold, Sam Samonte won 3 gold and Daniel Bracken won 3 gold. In the relay  the team won by 25 metres i.e, a full length of the pool. Meanwhile in Birr swimming club John Stevenson is training hard and also did brilliantly with wins last Saturday also. Jay and Sam are pictured with their medals in school last Monday .

One of the aims of Careers Awareness week was to engage junior cycle students into talking with their teachers about their college experience and getting them to think about posible job and career pathways. Jay Coogan  and Nicole Buckley were winners of the First & second year written competition and Jays is pictured receiving his Certificate. Both students also got a prize with their certificates.

On Thursday and Friday we were delighted to welcome in sixth class students for a Taster Programme where they got a chance to experience what some secondary school subjects are like . It also provides students a chance to start thinking about second level school and  not to be fearful of the Transition . The feedback was excellent from both students and parents and thanks to all the students and staff who helped on these two days.
