MATHS WEEK IN GALLEN CS
A very successful Maths Week was held in our school last week. Maths week began with TY investigating famous mathematicians. They presented their findings to their group. A notable feature of the week was the excellent colourful wall displays with mathematical themes. Each year group was brought on a Maths trail around Ferbane and students used their spatial awareness and mathematical reasoning to see Maths in the World around them. A whole school Maths competition was also run around the theme of Problem Solving with First Year, Junior School and Senior School taking part. Prizes will be given to the winners in each year group.Gallen CS is to the forefront with its implementation of JUMP Maths . Students and staff have also completed some surveys to assist us with our School Numeracy report.
