Ferbane Amazing World of Wonder
On Friday Oct 6th Gallen CS were pleased to have a small involvement in a project funded by Offaly County Council funded through Creative Ireland. It was a community art project performance with a visually stunning projection and specially commissioned music by past student Clare Ann Kearns. Visual artist Caroline Conway and photographer Tina Claffey have been working with members of High Street Drama Group and a local musician, Clare Anne Kearns, to produce a celebration of the unique natural environment around Ferbane, with reference to the pioneering work of the nineteenth century local scientist and naturalist Mary Ward. Eoin Lally and Ava Grace Egan in second year were involved in the performance and read letters from Mary Ward . Our senior prefects, Mark Dolan, John Dunican and Bronagh Coughlan were ushers on the night. We will upload some pictures soon and others showing the beautiful photographic work can be seen on https://www.facebook.com/pg/Ferbanes-Amazing-World-of-Wonder-277536216066587/photos/?ref=page_internal
