  • ROISIN  EGAN-All  at Gallen CS  heartily  congratulate   this   multi-talented sportswoman   on  winning the  TG4  Ladies  Leinster   Young  Player of the  Year    Award.  Roisin was  presented with her award   at a  function in the  City  West   hotel. Roisin  is  an All-Ireland  Winner in   three   sports ,  camogie  , ladies football and  Basketball. Well done Roisin on winning this prestigious  award. Pictures of  Roisin  receiving her award appeared  in last week’s editions.
  • Ferbane  Belmont  minor  club  on their  wins  in the  U14 A   Football  Final  and  the  Minor  A   Football  Final and to  DER  Gaels on their   victory in the  u 14  B   Football  Final.
  • JUNIOR   LADIES  Gallen  CS   made it 3 wins  from 3  in the   Leinster Junior  Championship   by  virtue of this 6-12 to 3-5  win over  Scoil  Mhuire  Longford.  They    qualify for the   semi-finals and  the  Seniors  qualify for the  Leinster  Quarter  Finals. Junior  Team and  Scorers-Luz  Corrigan,  Ella  Hogan , Emma  Maher,  Aimee  Kelly ,  Tara  Dunican,  Grainne  Kenny , Ava  Flynn [1-2]Ffion  Boland [0-1]  Andrea  Arnold,  Kaithlin  Rigney [1-1],  Sinead  Egan [1-0]Emma  Bracken [1-0]Sarah  Murphy .,  Kate  Kenny [1-6] and  Roisin Cockram [0-2].Well done  to  Mrs Scully and  Ms  Hough.
  • CONNACHT   JUNIOR LEAGUE RUGBY. Well done to our Junior rugby team who defeated Clifden CS   45-5 to qualify for the semi-finals. A standout performance came from Gallen CS   own version of Jamie Heaslip , Ethan Rowe mc Cormack who scored four tries. The team was –  Nathan  Poland ,  David  Nally ,  Jamie  Kelly,  Luke  Mangan ,  Michael  Egan ,  Sean  Flynn ,  Max  Freehand ,  Ethan  Rowe mc  Cormack [  4 tries]Lorcan  Daly ,  Conor Kenny , Sean Ibbotson , Aaron o  Reilly[ 1 try] , David  Gavin , Griffin Dunican and  Ruairi  Carroll. Well done to  Mr  Mc  Grath and his team and  good luck in the semi-finals.
  • Ferbane Belmont Minor County finalists over Edenderry last Saturday. Well done to all the lads involved and their mentors.
