August 2012 Warm congratulations is extended to all the Leaving certificate students who got there results last Wednesday 15th August. It was a day of great excitement , a few nerves but a lot of hugging and handshaking when students opened their results. We are delighted that many students achieved to the highest level of their ability . Buckling the national trend this year it was the boys who took highest honours with Ruaidhrí Doolan achieving a tremendous 565 points score, followed by Ryan Delaney , James Nally, Claire Kelly , Maria Spain, Alan Devery, Stephen Wren to name but a few. We look forward to our annual awards night in October when we will invite many of these young men and women to receive awards in our school. However school and the Leaving Certificate is not all about points so we congratulate all students who achieved their own personal goals and successes at different levels in this difficult exam. It marks the end of five or six years of schools for these young people and we wish them well as they all progress to Further and/or Higher Education courses.
