Welcome Back after your holidays and Happy New Year to you and all your families. I hope you are felling rested and looking forward to lots of new challenges and activities in the coming term.
December was very busy month with our visit to the Midland Prison in Portlaoise, Vincent De Paul group, Ger Carey in Moate, Ice Skating in Limerick and our visit to the Nursing Home.
The New Year starts off on Wednesday 8th of January when Ms. McHugh is bringing a group of 15 students to the courthouse in Tullamore.
Thursday January 9th- 25 students are going to Young Scientist exhibition in Dublin. i would like to wish Eoin Sheridan, our own Ty student, the very best of luck in the competition. thanks to Ms. Hopkins and all the Science department for all your hard work.
On Friday the 17th the RSA Safety roadshow will be visiting us for the day to deliver their very important Road Safety message.
Any students going to Paris in May please check that your passport is in date. Also, you will need an E111 card in case of any medical emergency. This can be completed or renewed online.
As our school Musical is fast approaching in February, i would ask all TY’s involved to really give their best effort and make sure to be at rehearsals when you are supposed to.
Finally, remember to start looking for your next Work Experience placement which takes place the week beginning March 2. Have a great term.
